Prospective Writer seeks input

I am trying once again (I have manuscript ideas from 1980) to get going on writing...short stories, poems, 4 possible novels. At the moment I am seeking informations....memories or whatever you have about World War II in the United States. My plot line for one of the book ideas surrounds Military families transiting through Panama City and Pensacola. Any help would be greatly appreciated and acknowledged if I ever get published.
